Users Group Meeting
We are happy to announce the 10th anniversary of our Users Group Meeting in the United Kingdom, which will be held on April 20th – 22nd 2010 at Imperial College in London.
All PTV Vision Users and those who are interested in PTV Vision applications are invited to attend this informative and exciting event.
As every year, we put our main focus on innovative user applications and trend-setting projects. Furthermore there will be lots of exciting news and information to share pertainling to the VISSIM microscopic traffic simulator and the VISUM stratetic modelling software plus related tools. The meeting will address state-of-the-art modelling work by users, Tips & Tricks, procedures and methodologiesdevelopment plans by PTV and more specifically the latest new versions of PTV Vision software.
A detailed programme will be available shortly after the deadline for the call for papers.
Call for Papers: Your contribution to the Users Group Meeting
Users from all backgrounds (e.g. Consultancies, Public Sector, and Universities) are encouraged to submit abstracts for presentations on topics related to PTV Vision VISSIM or VISUM applications.
If you have applied VISSIM or VISUM (or tools linked to these) to any problem that could be of interest to other participants, please get in touch with us.
We will need to have a title accompanied by a short abstract of the presentation by March 3th, 2010.
The deadline for the submission of the paper is April 2nd, 2010.
The compliance with these deadlines will enable us to prepare the documentation to be circulated at the User Group Meeting well in advance (papers and/or handout slides not received on time might not be part of the proceedings and/or excluded from the programme). Presentations should last 15-25 minutes, with some time for questions at the end.
Social event: 10th anniversary Celebration Dinner on April 22nd 2010

The PTV Vision Users Group Meeting in the UK celebrates its 10th anniversary. Come and join the celebration during the evening of April 22nd 2010, after the Users Group Meeting. Meet other users and make useful contacts in relaxed atmosphere. We will have a drink reception at 6 pm followed by a celebration dinner starting at 7 pm.

This event is included in the attendance fee for the PTV Vision Users Group Meeting.
PTV Vision Software Training (April 20th and 21st)
Prior to the Users Group Meeting participants will have the opportunity to attend various VISUM or VISSIM classes on April 20th and 21st, 2010. Our PTV Vision trainers will deal with work-related topics while showing you how to use the software more productively. Participation in one or two training days is possible. Please note that space is limited.
All training classes are scheduled 9.30 am – 5.00 pm. Please arrive at 9.00 for registration and software installation.

Registration fee, payment and cancellation policy
The registration fee is:

Users Group Meeting | £210 (£ 130 for students* / PhDs* and presenters, first author) including celebration dinner |
*In order to obtain a student / PhD discount, please send us a copy of your student card or any or any similar confirmation to ptvvision@ptv.de.
The fee includes attendance, lunch, refreshment breaks and documentation. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation and an invoice by email. Please promptly transfer the requested fee to one of our bank accounts. Should you not be able to pay by the deadline of April 15th, please bring either cash or cheque made payable to "PTV AG" and a copy of the corresponding invoice to the venue.
Minimum number of participants: PTV AG agrees to hold the seminars announced with a minimum of 5 participants. If a seminar will not be held, PTV AG has the right to cancel it 7 days before the seminar starting date.
Right to withdrawal: If a participant withdraws up to 15 days before the start of the seminar, no fees are charged. If a withdrawal is made between 5 and 14 days before the start of the seminar, 20% of the fees are charged. If a withdrawal is made up to 4 days before the start of the seminar or if no cancellation is made, the complete price will be charged. Please understand that we are unable to return registration fees, even in cases of sickness or for operational reasons. However, it is possible to send a substitute participant as an alternative.

The event will take place at the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine - Exhibition Road - London SW7 2AZ.
The UGM will be held at the business school.

Directions
If travelling by metro from King’s Cross St. Pancras, the Piccadilly line can be used to get to South Kensington, which is about 500 m from Imperial College. This trip requires about 25 minutes.
