A central database processes traffic count data from different sources and stores detailed raw data and key values. The import software supports numerous file formats. The program can import count data and group them according to different criteria, such as time intervals, lane directions, and vehicle classification for further data validation.
Data management
PTV's traffic count data management system allows users to manage all data related to the traffic counters, to add new counters to the system and to delete or store additional information. A map displays the exact position of each traffic counter.

The plausibility of the count data will be automatically checked during import. The system detects plausible and non-plausible information as well as gaps in the data. It calculates possible substitution values that can be edited or complemented by the traffic engineer.
