CVIS CF&F
Cooperative Vehicle-Infrastructure Systems/Cooperative Freight and Fleet
The objective of the CVIS project is to develop an “intelligent” system which allows communication between vehicles and road infrastructure. Due to the use of cooperative systems the traffic flow should be improved, more security should be given and negative environmental consequences of the traffic should be minimised. The project is divided in several subprojects.
Within the sub-project “Cooperative Freight and Fleet” (CF&F) three reference applications will be developed:
- Navigation and monitoring of dangerous goods transports in an urban area,
- Reservation of parking slots for the inner-city loading and unloading and reservation of parking slots at parking centres along the motorways,
- The specific monitoring of driver and vehicle passing sensitive areas.
