PTV are specialists in the field of tunnel safety analysis. Risk analysis and scientific research on fire and evacuation simulation help planners to identify and eliminate weak points and to optimise emergency rescue measures in tunnels. In this context, special attention is paid to the development of smoke and deadly gases. By combining flow and pedestrian simulation it is possible to model people's behaviour in tunnels in the event of a fire.
