SMART-CM

The research project Smart-CM aims at making the supply chain of intermodal container transport chains more efficient, safer, more transparent and competitive on a global level.

The new type of approach made by Smart-CM generates transport chains for companies on the supply chain as well as efficient processes in container management and in customs handling for public authorities.

In this project PTV manages tasks in the area of advanced value-added services, which are involved with procedures for optimising dynamic routings for intermodal transport chains and the development of methods for "stand-alone" route selection for containers at hub-level.

The development results will be demonstrated in two test fields in the corridors "Europe – Middle East" and "Europe – Asia".
