Logistik-V’Info - Traffic information for dynamic transports: more logistic benefit – relief for environment and infrastructure 

On the one hand, road transport has become more and more expensive and obstructed through overload of parts of the traffic infrastructure. On the other hand, road transport itself contributes to congestion, traffic impact and environmental pollution. 
Logistik-V’Info will show how temporal and areal equalisation of transports can exploit the improvement potentials: What advantages can be obtained for the fleet operator and shipper through reduced transport costs and higher reliability? What advantages can be obtained for mankind and environment through an improved traffic flow and through an energy optimised guidance of the vehicles?
PTV adapts the supply of dynamic traffic information for the utilisation of road transport and carries it out based on the traffic information centre RUHRPILOT. Based on the existing prototypes from the project INVENT-VMTL for dynamic tour planning, PTV will create and develop robust algorithms and planning processes adjusted to the actual product state which include the traffic information offered by RUHRPILOT. PTV examines the possible shifting potentials, tests and evaluates the services, algorithms and processes and assesses them regarding the transfer to practice.
